To Celebrate our Anniversary we went to Midway and stayed at the Zermatt Resort. It was such a blast! It felt like a second honeymoon almost. We were like 15 miles from Park City so we drove there for the day and checked out the Outlet Mall there. It's always fun to go shopping somewhere new. For dinner we went to Sundance and they had the best calamari. I loved it! And my filet minon was also amazing.
We owe Kawika big time for hookin us up! The Zermatt was so different! That's why I loved it. It had it's own little mini putt, life size chess board, little goats that were in the back that you could feed, a horseshoe pit, merry-go-round, and more. We also went and stayed with some of Ka'ihes cousins in Orem. We went to a shaved ice place, the only one I have been to that's comparable to, but not better than, Matsumotos.
We had such a good time, I hope that every anniversary is as good as this one. =0 Thanks Hubby!
CAMPING IN THE WILDERNESS!A few weeks ago we went camping with some married friends of ours, plus Lish and his girl. It took us a while to get some pictures emailed to us from other people, which is why we are finally posting it now. We went up here to Cedar Canyon and stayed on one of my old bishop's land. It was so much fun, but it was a good thing we had 'bish' there to help us because we weren't prepared at all! I started calling bishop "geenie" because he literally had everything we needed, from blankets to tarps to ground padding to cooking utensils to allergy medicine and eye drops to paper towels to running water and toilets for the females! All we did was say "we wish we would've brought 'this'," and bish quietly got up, walked to his magic area, and Voici (french for "here it is!"), provided the goods! He even cooked up some fresh lamb that made our tinfoil dinners taste like leftovers. Speaking of tinfoil dinners, mine didn't even cook, so I sat and complained about how hungry I was while everyone ate like champs. They were eating smores by the time I started dinner! My corn on the cobb was good though... We got up there Friday night, set up camp, ate dinner, went to sleep, woke up and had breakfast, cleaned up and went home. Nothing but eating and sleeping, but it was still really fun. It's all about making memories with friends, and that was a trip never to forget!
Karlee and Sutton rode the 4wheeler up from where we parked the trailer. They thought they could pass us so they took a short cut through the grass, but didn't realize it was all water! So they splashed all this mud and cow doodoo all over themselves! hahaha. That'll teach 'em! (notice the doodoo on Karlee's face!)

A family in my parents ward had an awesome Christmas lights display, so we went to watch after our Christmas Eve party. Before the song starts the radio host talked about the cost of lights and how they are trying to go green. We started recording a little too late so we only caught the tail end of it.
Here is a picture of the second grade class that I taught. I had the opportunity to go and substitute for this class this past Monday. They were so excited that I was there for the day. They are cute.
Before the game we went shopping and to Sea Port Village. We had some really good food this weekend! I also had the chance to play with some friendly birds. I was so scared. The guy picked me right out of the crowd.
Another fun thing that we did was we went to Tocqueville Falls with five other couples. There were a bunch of waterfalls and a little pool area at the bottom. All we did was swim and eat. I took a few more pictures but they didn't turn out that good..It was so nice to get a break from school and just hang out. I always can't wait for the weekends. 
Demolition Derby Time. We went with a bunch of friends. I was surprised at how many people were there...people we knew. There were also a lot of weirdos.
A little over a month ago we went to Lake Powell for the weekend and camped for the first time ever instead of staying on a house boat. We went with Kim and Cade, and Dallas and Lizzy. It was a lot of fun and I got a nice tan which is already gone.

~After a day at Sunset Beach we went to get Acai Bowls. A new must have when you're in Hawaii.=)~

~One night we went to Ka'ihes uncles for a BBQ. After we went swimming and enjoyed sittin' in the hot tub.~

For the Fourth of July all of Ka'ihes family got together at Turtle Bay to eat good food and watch the Fireworks. It was good to see all the family together.~
We felt the same, so we went for an hour boat ride up lake to Rainbow Bridge. We weren't disappointed. The drive up was so pretty. The open lake is obviously surrounded by towering cliffs, but going through the canyons is a whole different story. And at the end of the canyon, it was topped off with the arch!
. As pretty as the scenery was, the best was yet to come. On our way back to the houseboat, we stopped at Cathedral Canyon, my new favorite place at Lake Powell. Driving back in this canyon was a sight that could never be accurately described with words. The only words I can think of is crazy sick! 
We kept swimming, until we got to where we would yell and not be able to hear the girls respond. It went from adventure to an overwhelmingly eerie feeling. We thought the girls were in trouble, especially with having watched the movie Taken the night before, the movie was fresh in our minds. But we made it back to the boat with both girls safe, just really hungry...So even though we had hungry, unhappy girls, it was all worth it!

It was a blast driving around on the ranger. Kuulei, Hana, and I were holding hands and screaming at one point because we were so scared to go down a hill. 
...I was scared and cold. But I was loving it!
We drove to the Springs where there is this cute little bridge. 
Then we went to the Mammoth caves, but we didn't make it in very far. It was too dark and you could feel all of the thick dirt in the air. A part of the cave was closed off because of all of the bats that were hybernating there. Im glad we didn't have to see any!
That night we made a fire and roasted marshmellows for smores. They were so tasty, we couldn't stop eating.
