Sex Party!!

Today we had our ultrasound to find out what the sex of our baby is! And we thought there was no better way to spread the news to all our friends than by having a sex party!! But before we get to that, I'm gonna explain the doctor's visit. We got in the room to get the ultrasound and said we wanted to know the sex right away. So, before we even saw the heartbeat, the nurse was scanning for a little man part. To us, the visual on the screen had no clarity, but the lady knew what to look for, and she wasted no time in clicking the label and dragging it on the picture. "Male." We saw that and asked, "So does that mean it's a boy?" haha. We were both in shock because the Chinese baby chart told us it was a girl, and that is never wrong; until now! It's a boy!!! I was so happy! Karlee was a little less enthused but quickly joined in on the excitement! The entire ultrasound was so cool. The 3D shots are wild, as you can see in the pictures below.
Upon leaving the doctor's office, we got on the phone to call our families to share the exciting news! We also got a video of the entire ultrasound for our viewing pleasure to show friends and family. Karlee's brother Tyson and few of our friends came over for games and the release of the good news. While I was in class all day, Karlee cleaned the house, went shopping for supplies, then slaved away in the kitchen. She made cupcakes dyed blue to go along with the blue koolaid squeeze-its and some blue mountain dew because men drink dewski. She also made those crazy-good-white-chocolate-covered-oreo balls that I love for some added treats. She also made this cool poster with her cricut where people would guess the sex. After they guessed, we played a card game and the top finishers stood in front of everyone and took a bite of a cupcake, revealing the blue cake. All in all, we had a fun time in sharing this special occasion with Tyson and our friends. Next stop...Baby shower!!
Thanks to everyone that came to our party! We wish we would have gotten a picture with everyone who came. Here are a few more ultra sound pictures for anyone who understands them. =) The whole time the little guy kept putting his hands up in front of his face, it looked so cute, and his feet were bent back next to his head.

Mmm...tastiness

I thought that when I became pregnant that I would eat so healthy. Maybe even crave fruit and vegetables? Not the case. The thing that I crave most is the thing that I never really had before I was pregnant....SODA!

My doctor told me to try and stay away from the stuff but that's all I ever want! I try not to drink anything with caffeine, but I have to have a red creme soda, sprite, or root beer every now and then. I would probably drink it all day if i could. And I never ate candy that much either but now CANDY is so tasty, things like jelly beans, and lollipops!
And I use to love chocolate and pickles (together. ha. not really) but now the
y are just whatever to me. I feel like my world is turned upside down. haha. Can I please have some sugar!

Easter Weekend

Time always flies by whenever we go to Vegas. Here are a few of the things that we did while we were there... Since cupcakes are the new "in" thing lately I told Ka'ihe that we had to go to a cupcake shop while we were in town. We ended up going to the cupcakery.
Ka'ihe got the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. I don't really like frosting but they had very yummy frosting!
We also went to Yogurtland! My new favortite self serve frozen yogurt place. A couple in my parents ward opened this up not too long ago so me and kaihe went with my parents to try it out. I tried to take a picture while we were there but the place was so packed that it was impossible, so I just got this one from online. This picture isn't that great but I got Pistachio, Red Velvet Cake, and Taro plus toppings. Not the best combination but I had to have all three.
Sunday morning we had an Easter egg hunt in my parents front yard. You are never too old for this, right? My Dad and Ka'ihe hid the eggs. Tyson, Austin, and I searched for the eggs, and my mom just stood there and laughed the whole time. Ha. They gave my younger brother Austin a head start which I thought was totally unfair, shouldn't it be the prego that gets special treatment? I got killed by my brothers, but I found the one and only golden egg so that's all that matters!
I have been wanting to go see the movie the Last Song which just came out last week, but I have been hearing how awesome the book is so I decided I had to read the book first. Ka'ihe and I went to Borders one day. I got the Last Song and he got the book the Last Child which is also suppose to be very good. Tyson saw the movie the night it came out and when I asked him how it was he just told me that I'll cry for hours. haha. Could be true.
.
And here is my 17 week photo of my belly. I'm not sucking in, but I swear I am a lot bigger than this. I feel like it anyway. My mom and I went shopping over the weekend to buy me maternity clothes. I found a few cute shirts, but finding bottoms was a lot harder. I can't stand baggy bottoms! They were all so huge on me, and even when I get bigger I don't think they would ever fit me right. I guess they aren't suppose to, but the capris were like jeans on me..at least I have my sweats I guess.
