Courtney's Going Away Party

Karlee has a friend Courtney that was in her class this past semester. Courtney helped us out so much by offering Karlee a ride to school everyday, which saved me from having to wake up early to drop her off. So, in order for us to repay her, along with a late birthday party and a going away party, we decided to throw a surprise party for her. Karlee decorated the house, bought Courtney her favorite candy, and got an ice cream cake from Maggie Moos to celebrate the occasion. As a cover, Karlee planned that they go to get ice cream together. Courtney was supposed to come over at 8 pm, but called Karlee at 7:30 pm and told her she had to go help someone and she would be 30 minutes late. Anticipating an 8:30 arrival, we had all her friends over at 8:15. So there were 14 of us in our small apartment waiting to surprise her. We sat around, talked, and played the wii. Austin Curtis had a particular interest in the game Table Topics haha. 10, 20, 35, 45, over 60 minutes passed with no sign of Courtney. The excitement of surprising Courtney turned to the excitement of eating the cake! It was so good! After Courtney received a dozen missed calls and millions of texts asking if she was ever going to come, she showed up... Everyone yelled SURPRISE!... then said goodbye and went home....

The party turned into Karlee and Courtney playing the wii with me sitting on the couch watching. She was grateful for the party, and promised to never be late again in her life. So invite her to do something and see if she holds up to her word!!
